ResourceSpace is easy to use Digital Asset Management software. It’s open source and we’re an employee owned certified B corporation.

The software itself is free and there are thousands of users across the world. We provide the support and work with you to set the system up, configure it to meet your needs and run training sessions with you to make sure you’re comfortable using and managing it.

ResourceSpace relies on metadata so any file you upload is tagged with all the relevant information about that file – making it easy to find later on. There’s no more chaotic local storage to sift through looking for a particular file. The system is web based and can be customised in line with your brand guidelines so it fits in with your organisation perfectly.

You can have as many users as you need and access is easy to control so you can decide who can see what. There are various workflow options so new files can go through an approval process before going live too. We’ll help set all of this up for you. ResourceSpace has a suite of image editing tools removing the need for third party software – and it can convert sizes and formats on the fly as well.

We integrate with various Collection Management Systems including MuseumPlus, TMS and KE EMu and our API can facilitate any bespoke functionality you might need. Our experience supporting museums all over the world with different needs means we’re perfectly positioned to give you advice and help set up the perfect system for you.

You can download a free system here (https://www.resourcespace.com/free) or if you’d like to get in touch please feel free to book a meeting (https://www.resourcespace.com/book). You can also follow us on Twitter (twitter.com/resourcespace) or LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/resourcespace).

Since 1992 Conservation by Design (CXD) has provided a comprehensive range of high quality conservation storage and display products including furniture, showcases acid-free boxes, museum boards and specialist papers to Museums, Galleries, Libraries and Archives worldwide. In addition, the CXD engineering facility designs and manufactures a wide range of storage furniture including Planorama®, a unique anodised aluminium drawer storage and display system. CXD also provide museum grade display cases.

Founder, Stuart Welch, had the vision to establish an ethical company with a positive philosophy dedicated to creative, open-minded design and products that would answer the needs of all areas of cultural preservation. Over twenty years on, those values still remain the cornerstone of the CXD business.

Holder of the Royal Warrant by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, CXD’s passion is conservation and its reputation for quality and expertise has been built on an enthusiasm to understand and satisfy the needs of a wide variety of clients. The company’s commitment to craftsmanship and tradition is matched by an advanced product development programme to ensure that it continues to lead the market through innovation.

In 2007 CXD was acquired by Arqadia, the UK’s leading supplier of mouldings and mountboard to the art and framing market. This move provided the support, investment and resources needed to help develop the company, improve its customer service and explore some exciting new product opportunities.
